Battleground Pro Wrestling has just reached an agreement with So Cal Wrestling legend B-Boy! B-Boy has wrestled coast to coast for the past decade and we are thrilled to have him as part of the BPW family. The New Age Punisher is sick of the new breed of wrestlers not giving the veterans their just due, and he is ready to dish out punishment in true B-Boy fashion. You can bet that some of the best talent that Southern California has to offer will be jumping at the chance to pad their resume by defeating one of the most renowned wrestlers to ever come out of this area. Stay tuned, we will have more details as they unfold!

Minutes after the huge announcement of B-Boy's return, the BPW mailbox was inundated with messages from wrestlers wanting to get a shot at the New Age Punisher and a chance to be a top contender for the prestigious Ring Warrior Championship. Well, Battleground Pro Wrestling is proud to announce that August 27th at Burning Bridges B-Boy will be taking on two of the hottest talents in all of Southern California, "Pretty" Peter Avalon and Famous B! Let me be the first to say that this matchup has huge implications for the future of the Ring Warrior division not to mention BPW and Southern California wrestling in general! You won't want to miss what is already shaping up to be the biggest show in BPW history!

BPW presents Burning Bridges live August 27th @ 8pm

                Battleground Pro Wrestling presents
                Burning Bridges
                American Legion Post #716
                3252 Florista St.
                Los Alamitos, CA

The deeper we get into the Summer of 2011, the hotter it seems to get in BPW! Red, White, and Bruised was arguably the most intense and barbarically brutal Battleground show in the annals of the promotions history, but if that show was a heat wave, consider Burning Bridges to be an all out solar storm! There are huge surprises in store this month, as well as monumental implications for the future! Watch out Southern California, Burning Bridges just might melt your face off!

                BPW Heavyweight Championship

                Mikey Callahan(c) vs. Alexis Darevko

Last month Mikey Callahan defeated Alexis Darevko. Some may say it was dirty, but in the champs own words all he did was stop Alexis from cheating and defend himself with the same chain that Alexis tried to use on him. Commissioner Ramirez then got involved and forced the referee, who hadn't seen the infraction, to DQ Mikey and award the match to Alexis. Then when Mikey confronted the commish, the Darevkos pearl harbored the Irish Juggernaut for the second time in as many months and stole his BPW Heavyweight Championship and took it back to Moscow. Now the champ is enraged, and in a tirade challenged the Russian Wolf to a rematch. You can't question Mikey's heart, but a match with Alexis Darevko is like playing Russian roulette, and the bullet's name is Sasha! One thing is for sure, Mikey Callahan worked his way up the BPW ladder to earn that belt, and you can be sure that the Russian Wolf does not want to know what he will do to get back what is rightfully his!

                SoCal Wrestling Dream Match
B-Boy vs. Peter Avalon vs. Famous B

For over a decade, the name B-Boy has struck fear in the hearts of wrestlers all over the world. From the USA to Germany to Japan, B-Boy has traveled the globe dealing out beat downs and collecting a myriad of titles along the way. Now he is back in Southern California where he carved out his legend, and The New Age Punisher is sick of the new breed of wrestlers not giving the veterans their just due. He is ready to dish out punishment in true B-Boy fashion, and it just so happens that the two men he is facing are the two hottest names on the So Cal independent wrestling scene. Peter Avalon was the Rookie of the Year in 2009, and 2011 has seen his star grow to even greater proportions with appearances all over the circuit. Not to be outdone, Famous B is often in the conversation of best wrestlers working today, and this Santino's product is one of the first names out of any wrestler's mouth when you ask who they would most like to face. The buzz has already begun, and the debates are swirling inside the kliqs and inner circles in every corner of the L.A. and Orange County area: Who will win this epic matchup? Word on the street is that BPW will not be posting this one up for free, so one thing is for sure, if you don't show up to Legion Post #716 on August 27th for Burning Bridges, you just might miss the match of the year!

                BPW Maximum Championship
                Tito Escondido(c) vs. Robby Phoenix

If you ask Tito Escondido, Robby Phoenix burned his bridge with his cowardly attack following Tito's epic win over Rico Dynamite for the Maximum Title at June's Lord of the Ring Warriors. Then to ice the cake, Robby tried to get involved in Tito's title defense against Sasha Darevko this past Saturday at Red, White, and Bruised. For months now Robby has lobbied for a match for the Maximum Title, citing his lack of a champions rematch when he lost the belt to Rico. Now after months of stalemate with Foob Dogg, Robby is the number one contender for what he considers to be his belt. According to him it's nothing personal with Tito, he just happens to be the guy in the way of Robby's fatal obsession with being the Maximum champion. Has Robby gotten into Tito's head with his betrayal? Or will Tito continue to bulldoze the competition in Battleground?

                Rumble for the Ramirez Cup

Besides reversing the decision in the main event, Commissioner Dan E. Ramirez had yet another landmark announcement in what has been a regime full of game changing decisions. You can be sure that announcement reverberated throughout the BPW locker room, and every last wrestler will want to take a shot at the Dan E. Ramirez cup!

                ***Also Appearing***

Lucha Machine, Chris Kadillak, Extreme Loco, The Black Knights, Ray Rosas, The Fugitives, Unorthodox Levi Shapiro, Seville Alvarez, Tank Alvarado, Jeremey Jaeger, Sasha Darevko, Pinky, Brandon P.Net, The Riv, and much more!

More matches will be announced in the coming weeks so stay tuned for all the details on BPW presents Burning Bridges!

That's some pretty big hyperbole there. Even for pro wrestling. I'd say it's arguable. But I can't say it's wrong.

Maybe... but this match had me excited about a BPW show. Much like Escodido and Rico on the last show. I can't make it to this one, its my daughter's b-day party... But I hope a lot of people check it out.

Famous B the new sheriff in town?

                      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ul0a60nyLA

Famous B has news for B-Boy and Peter Avalon, he is the new sheriff in town and he is out to spoil the return of the New Age Punisher. The famous one has one thing on his mind and that is Ring Warrior gold, and if Peter Avalon and B-Boy are in the way, he has no problem climbing over them to reach the top of the ladder!

                        Ray Rosas challenges Lucha Machine!

                        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Givq5Y2gXLY

Ray Rosas is distraught. He feels disconnected from Lucha Machine ever since Lucha won the Ring Warrior belt in the tournament final against Seville and Ray. Now Lucha is set to defend against Chris Kadillak and a yet to be determined third party, and Ray has put out a challenge to be that third guy. Can the Silverheart Radicalz survive this bump in the road? Or will the Ring Warrior belt ultimately spell the demise of this great tag team?

Robby is gunning for Tito's pride.

Robby has been through the ringer trying to get his Maximum Title back, and now that he has his chance he is relishing the opportunity to make a statement to the whole locker room. He doesn't just want to take Tito's belt, he's aiming to take his pride as well!
