Press Releases: AWS preview for 10/22/05

AWS AWS “Halloween Slaughterhouse II”
Saturday October 22, 2005

AWS Title Match – TO BE HELD INSIDE A STEEL CAGE
Champion: Human Tornado
Challenger: "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce (w/C. Edward Vander Pyle)

So it has all lead to this. Tornado and Pearce have battled in one form or fashion for most of the calendar year of 2005 and this Halloween it is going to get scary! No outside interference, no Vander Pyle involvement, no way out! From the Masked Spymaster II to the Masked Afro II, to Tornado passing out, to title changes, to everything else, the bad blood between these two superstars will finally culminate inside the most prolific and dangerous match in professional wrestling. This final encounter will take place within the not-so-friendly confines of a 16-foot high steel cage on October 22 at the Frank ‘N’ Sons Arena. Neither man has backed down at any point in their long and storied feud and neither man will back down at Halloween Slaughterhouse II. Pearce has claimed that he'll shed however much blood is necessary to rid AWS of the Human Tornado. Tornado could not be reached for comment as we were told something about a knob getting polished. Will Pearce regain the gold and destroy the Tornado? Will Tornado remain on top?

Pearce – Tornado – AWS Title – Steel Cage! Nothing more needs to be said!

AWS LA Light Heavyweight Title – Street Fight, No Holds Barred, No DQ!
Champion: Quicksilver
Challenger: Lil’ Nate

Tornado and Pearce are not the only ones who have reached the limits of what they can take. Quicksilver and Lil’ Nate have gone toe-to-toe at four straight AWS shows. They have traded the AWS LA Light Heavyweight Title back and forth. More rules have been broken in their matches than are known to exist. At Halloween Slaughterhouse II they will leave it all in the ring, on the floor and in the crowd! If you are sitting in the first 5 rows for this one, you may want to be ready to move! This one is going to get ugly quick! No Disqualification. No Holds Barred. Anything goes.

AWS Tag Team Championship – 3 Way Dance
Champions: Los Chivos (Kayam y Enigma de Oro)
Challengers: Arrogance (Scott Lost & Chris Bosh); Junior & R2K

Los Chivos continue to dominate the AWS tag team scene. Every challenging team for months has been sent home without the gold. This month they face two teams from opposite ends of the spectrum. First is the team of Arrogance, the solidly united team of Scott Lost and Chris Bosh. Very few teams anywhere in wrestling are as complete as they have become in a short period of time. On the other side is the team of lucha yongsters Junior & R2K. Both have had their successes in and out of AWS and both are hungry to prove that they can hang with teams the caliber of Los Chivos and Arrogance. The gold is on the line on October 22! Is a changing of the guard at hand, or is this simply another notch in the championship belt of Los Chivos?

Babi Slymm vs. The Plague
The cage may be all that is left for the main event after these big men tear down the ring! Slymm has been the franchise player for AWS including being the first AWS Heavyweight Champion. Plague has been making a name for himself by destroying any and everyone brave enough to step in the ring with him. Slymm wants back in the title hunt while Plague wants to get there for the first time. This match should go a long way to determining who faces the steel cage survivor. Who is the strongest man in AWS? We'll find out on 10/22!

Antonio Mestre vs. Scorpio Sky
The cocky Brazilian Mestre, thanks to interference from his “injured” partner Pete Goodman, scored a big victory over the debuting Alex Koslov at the last AWS show with the help of a crutch. The enigmatic Scorpio Sky made his return to AWS after a several month absence as a part of an exciting 4-way dance. These two are both top contenders for both the AWS Heavyweight and LA Light Heavyweight titles. As the tide continues to turn in the AWS, there is nothing to stop the winner of this match from demanding a title shot in the future. The future is now for one of these men. Come find out which one!

Hardkore Inc. (Al Katrazz & Hardkore Kidd) vs.
Davey Richards & Tony Kozina

Three months ago the return of Hardkore Kidd to the AWS was the only thing that saved his long-time partner and dawg, Al Katrazz from a sneak attack from his then partner Davey Richards. Scheduling conflicts prevented them from clashing at the September AWS event, but nothing has been forgotten. Davey Richards spent that time seeking out the ultimate tag team partner in his quest to take out the legendary Socal duo known as Hardkore Inc. Who did he turn to? His trainer and two-time NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champion “Tornado” Tony Kozina! Hopefully the Red Cross is not coming to this show looking for donors as all we seem to have at AWS lately is bad, bad blood!

Alex Koslov vs. Ronin
Despite the skullduggery that led to his loss in his AWS debut, “The Russian Rocket” Alex Koslov managed to impress the crowd, the other wrestlers, and promoter Bart Kapitzke. Bart decided not only to give Alex another chance, but this time to put him in the ring with one of the AWS stalwarts in the form of the mighty Ronin. AWS has always been a proving ground for top young talent and this match should be no different.

Tag Team Grudge Match
"The Forgotten" (Johnny Paradise & Charles Mercury)
vs. Hook Bomberry & Lionheart

The ever-popular Hook & Lionheart seemed well on their way to victory and a possible tag title shot at the September AWS show. Then the team affectionately known as “Merc & Jerc” saw fit to cheat their way to victory with the help of manager Dino Winwood. Hook & Lionheart demanded a rematch and it was granted. You can come and see for yourself what all the buzz is about as two of the hottest up and coming tag teams in SoCal wrestling do battle onc again at Halloween Slaughterhouse II!

This is where I usually say something like “Come see the show” or “All this and more” but instead I will simply say this:

Tornado. Pearce. Title on the line. Steel Cage.

If you miss it, then you didn’t see it! Yeah, now that’s a tagline!
