October 27, 2004 (Santa Monica, CA) – Today, as a part of the promotions “Phase II” Inoki Sports Management, Inc. (the parent company of NJPW – USA) is proud to announce a new relationship with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and its group of international promoters. Mr. Antonio Inoki, the company’s Chairman and CEO has been a member of the NWA since 1998. “Mr. Inoki hopes to help the NWA re-establish their brand and product internationally with hopes that the NWA Championships will shine as they once did in the past” says NJPW – USA President Simon Inoki. On December 12th, NJPW – USA will hold its first NWA sanctioned event at the Potrero Restaurant and Night Club in Cudahy, CA. More information on the event will follow.
NJPW will recognize Jeff Jarrett as the NWA World Champion and The Naturals as the NWA World Tag Team Champions but TNA Entertainment, Inc. are not yet included in this relationship.
