LOS ANGELES, California - Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Southern California's newest wrestling promotion, was started with one very specific goal in mind: To present fans with the freshest and most interesting matches in wrestling today. With that goal in mind, I am proud to present the next match for PWG's inaugural event, "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce vs. B-Boy.
Adam Pearce, a 7 year veteran of this sport, embraces the traditional mentality of pro wrestling, where a swift punch to the head is just as, or more effective than an elaborate pinning suplex combo. With a mouth that can make opponents cry as easily as his First Drop, an arsenal of the deadliest moves from yesteryear, and an ability to take what he needs from modern wrestling, The Scrap Daddy is not a man to be taken lightly.
To fans who closely follow independent wrestling, the name "B-Boy" is quickly becoming prefaced by the term "Rising Star." While Adam Pearce may be content to rely on what he knows is effective, B-Boy is constantly experimenting and innovating inside the ring. This is truly a match where styles collide, a fight for supremacy between the "New Age" and the "Old School."
Tickets for the show are available on the PWG website (http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com), or by mail (PO Box 1527, Temple City, CA 91780 - Certified Check or Money Order only, please) with ticket presales already taking place. Ticket prices are Front Row $20 presale/$25 at the door, and General Admission $15 presale/$20 at the door. If the three matches announced so far aren't enough to pique you're interest, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla will be making weekly match announcements, news, and promos leading up to the event on the PWG website. Is PWG up to the task? There's only one way to find out, and that is to show up July 26th and see for yourself.
