Press Releases: Revolution Pro and AWS on September 13th
Posted by Steven Bryant on Monday, September 08, 2003 @ 9:59 PM Pacific
Rev Pro Revolution Pro's next show will take place September 13th, as Rev Pro and AWS (Alternative Wrestling Shop) will come together to bring you 7 big matches! This show will happen only one week before the 3rd Annual Revolution J, and two of the three Revolution Pro matches will be Rev J Qualifying matches. The third will feature four of the biggest Revolution Pro stars in a veterans vs. young lions match. Here are thoughts on the three matches...

Main Event
Super Dragon/Mr. Excitement vs. Ariel Express (Scorpio Sky/Quick Silver)
-This tag team match will pit two veterans of Revolution Pro and two of the young blood that has struck Rev Pro in the past year. Team one will consist of the past two Revolution J Champions, Super Dragon and Mr. Excitement. These two aren't exactly what you can call a "cohesive" team. They battled all last year and faced each other in the finals of Rev J #2 last September. The most recent development was Dragon and Excitement going face to face and blow to blow at a recent show this past weekend. Their opponents will be the young team of Scorpio Sky and Quick Silver. These two have been running strong all year with strong victories. Quick Silver is coming off a big win over TARO in a Rev J Qualifying match and Scorpio's recent win over Super Dragon to win his first title, the Revolution Pro Junior Title. Will Dragon and Excitement be able to stay a team and use their experience to over power the Ariel Express or will Quick Silver and Sky be able to do what they have over and over again and beat the veteran stars? What a main event this will be on the 13th.

This year for competitors to make it into the Revolution J as one of Rev Pro's 8, you either have to get a bye by being a former Champion for the tournament, be the Jr. Heavyweight Champion, or win a qualifying match. Along with Super Dragon (Rev J 2001 winner), Mr. Excitement (Rev J 2002 winner), and the Jr. Heavyweight Champ Scorpio Sky, three other competitors have won qualifying matches and are now officially apart of the Revolution J. These four are Quick Silver, Zokre, and Phoenix Star. On this show the last two Revolution Pro spots will be decided with these two qualifying matches...

Revolution J Qualifying
Disco Machine vs. Chris Bosh
-Over the last two shows we have seen veteran Disco Machine and Fight For The Revolution Winner, Chris Bosh teaming up. First to compete in the Tag Tournament and then last show against TopGun Talwar and Babi Slymm who they beat. Now, by luck of the draw they will meet in a qualifying match. Disco has competed in both Rev J's, first beating Spanky and then losing to B-Boy in the inaugural J, and then last year losing to Street Style in the first round. Chris Bosh has yet to compete in a Rev J, but showed he can win a tournament by winning the recent F.F.T.R. to earn his spot in Revolution Pro. This contest will definitely show the spirit that all the Rev J competitors have. The winner moves on.

Revolution J Qualifying
Angel vs. El Mongol
-The last Qualifying match for the final spot in this years J, will be former XPW star Angel taking on Mongol. Angel has recently stepped it up a notch with the braking up of the tag team of him and Mr. Excitement and is looking for a chance to show up Excitement any chance he gets. Mongol is a newcomer to Rev Pro, but has been opening peoples eyes since his first appearance with his tough way of fighting, but will attempt to prove to the fans that he is a force to be reckoned with. Neither of these two have had the chance to be apart of the Revolution J before and both will be fighting hard for this spot.

This are not the only matches coming your way. There will be four more matches from the AWS that will be discussed in the next couple of days by the Alternative Wrestling Shop. So look for that press release on RevolutionPro.com.

Along with these matches and the four AWS matches, there will also be an eighth match that is unsanctioned by both Revolution Pro and the AWS. This time was paid for by an outside source. Since this time is unsanctioned by Revolution Pro, we do not condone or endorse what happens during this time. The outside source is fully responsible for the happenings and occurrences that may occur. For more information come to the show on the 13th.
