Battle Ground Pro Wrestling made their return on Saturday night at the De La O Jiu-Jitsu Training Center in Stanton. The Stepfather defeated Foob Dogg in the finals of the BIGPRO Heavyweight Championship Gauntlet Match to become the BIGPRO Heavyweight Champion. Official Preview For "I'm In a Newhall State of Mind"! Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Saturday May 12th, 2007.
Uncertainty reigned supreme at the conclusion of "Big Trouble in Little Newhall" last month as the night ended in controversy with no clear-cut winner in the tag team battle between 300% Brawlers (Brawlin' Bo Cooper & Brandon Nitro) and Commissioner Jason Bennett's Dogs of War (Crayz & Xtreme Loco). Two counts by two refs at the same time have left the titles in limbo! At the conclusion of the night, Bo Cooper issued a challenge to the Commissioner, a six man tag challenge where each team would meet up one more time, this time with the Brawlers joined by Referee Rick Knox, and the Dogs joined by Referee Tony Cutlip. Will the Commissioner accept the challenge? What kind of match will there be? All we know at this point right now is that the Commissioner has declared that there will be some sort of match and one team WILL walk out of "I'm In a Newhall State of Mind" the Battle Ground Pro Tag Team Champions! Come May 12th and find out how this drama unfolds! |

Six weeks has passed since Battle Ground Pro showcased one of its best and worst shows in company history; best in terms of production, matches, and show as a whole, but worst in terms of unruly and obnoxious fans that create an uncomfortable environment. But it was time for BiG Pro to return to Newhall once again, and, as the bill said, there was definitely some “Big Trouble in Little Newhall.” No, Kurt Russell didn't revive his role as the loveably absurd Jack Burton to ward off the Lo-Pan of Newhall, but things did get pretty hairy all around—even before the show started. |

Newhall used to be a quiet little town full of Hispanic Americans situated between Valencia and Stevenson Ranch, two predominantly WASPy areas. The only threat to Newhall was the racism of rich, white conservatives and the pseudo-gang violence from within. And then Battle Ground Pro Wrestling marched into town. To be honest, I'll get this out of the way right here in the opening paragraph: this was, by far, the best show BiG Pro has ever put on so far, in terms of the matches and entertainment. But it was the worst when it came to the atmosphere of the audience and their risky participation. I'll get to all that momentarily, but for now, I'll let the wrestling do the talking. |

Like a powder keg set in the middle of a room full of TNT, the American Legion Hall was the scene of imminent danger all evening tonight as the fuse of anxiety and restlessness was lit by the violent clashing of stones that sparked up a flame. The question all evening was, Who would be the first person to attempt to extinguish it with gasoline? There was something lurking in the air alright, and it wasn't just the scent of beer. No, it was the reeking scent of vengeance. As “Brawlin'” Bo Cooper lost his title unjustly last month to “The Rock Superstar” Kaos at the hands of Commissioner Bennett's newest stable mate, “The Silent Assassin” Joey Harder, he did not have his rematch tonight, nor even a chance to punish the man who stole his belt, as Kaos was not present this evening. Instead, “Brawlin'” Bo had to endure a 25-man over-the-top rumble match to get that chance to get his title back. And in the end, would it have even paid off when the powder keg was set ablaze? |

Official preview for the Battle Ground Pro Wrestling “Rumble in Newhall” on Saturday February 17, 2007 at the American Legion Hall 24527 Spruce St. Newhall, CA
Battle Ground Pro Wrestling rang in the New Year last month with a raucous standing room only crowd that saw “Brawlin” Bo Cooper successfully defend his BiG Pro Heavyweight Title against Rocky Romero, only to be bamboozled out of the title by “The Rock Superstar” Kaos (with an assist from the newest member of Jason Bennett’s stable, “The Silent Assassin” Joey Harder). Commissioner Bennett made the announcement last month that the main event for February would be 25 man over the top rope “Royal Rumble” style battle royal (start with 2 men, one new entrant every two minutes) to determine the next #1 contender to the heavyweight title. Bo Cooper suddenly finds himself going from watching the match with anticipation to a participant! Cooper wants a rematch for that title badly, and he knows now he needs to go through 24 other Battle Ground Pro wrestlers to get it! |

Battle Ground Pro Wrestling rang in the new year with a return to the American Legion Hall in the freezing cold Newhall this evening that saw a standing-room-only capacity crowd welcome them back with open arms. Clenched fists and glasses of beer held high in the air as the fans cheered their favorite returning good guys and thumbs down and middle fingers up to show their disapproval of the returning bad guys. If 2006 was any indication that BiG Pro was going to take Newhall by storm, then the first show of 2007 showed that Newhall had already succumbed. And the first person to experience the overwhelming crowd reaction was none other than Commissioner Jason Bennett himself. |

Ah yes indeed. Sometimes things happen and they are totally out of your control. This is one of those cases. Due to unforseen circumstances Battle Ground Pro Wrestling has been forced to announce some major changes to our return card on Saturday January 13, 2007 at the American Legion Hall in Newhall, CA. When things happen that aren't best case scenarios, one is left with two choices-you can fold like a house of cards, or you can play the hand you're dealt and try to make the best of it. We are choosing the latter. We think we've managed to come up with a great card to replace the original one, and will be doing our very, very best to put on a great show. We hope to see you there.
